I wonder…what if…how do I…what would it look like…what might be a new way of looking at this…imagine if…

Be infinitely creative.

Because days can be busy and filled with challenges that come up in our work, family, health, and other aspects of our lives sometimes we unintentionally neglect our own well-being physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually, and forget what and where we once found joy in being and doing.

Being with horses is a date with the present moment and life itself is a love affair.

A career background, professional training, and lived experiences led me to work with those wanting to take time away from their everyday thinking to explore ways of cultivating curiosity, creativity, and playfulness as a container for renewal, growth and transformation. A return to joy.

Quest: for horses and humans to cultivate meaningful connection through creative communication and compassion.

At Serenity Farm, a privately run sanctuary caring for the wellbeing of horses, I’m met with a revolving door into curiosity, creativity, and playfulness on a daily basis because horses are naturally curious and creative and playful, it’s how they live and learn…and teach each other.

Being curious and creative doesn’t mean life is always going to be fun or that we don’t make a mess of things or fail, or make mistakes and it doesn’t mean we will always love what we have created, however being open and curious, creative, and playful does give us a way to shift how we connect our mind with our heart and with our hands that invites us to explore different ways of being.

To quote someone I once met and whose life work continues to inspire me today:

“Life is rarely a straight line moving upward across a page. Real life is more like a beautiful scribble, looping across the page. Life is complex and unpredictable, and because of our powers of imagination and creativity we are able to navigate it.” Sir Ken Robinson

As humans often the obstacles we face are internal and invisible, Horses are expert at curiosity, being creative and playful and may help us learn more about ourselves in a day than on our own could take years!

When we approach new experiences with curiosity and creativity we can invite the invisible to become visible through doorways to awareness:

  • unleash the spirit of curiosity
  • awaken the creative imagination
  • explore the freedom of expression
  • change the lens of perception

Waking up Awareness – get to know yourself better. The one-day retreat is designed to cultivate curiosity and creativity to make discoveries and see where it takes you.

My work is informed by the belief that everyone already has what they need to live a purposeful life and I love to nurture creative potential through self-directed self-inquiry.
